Todd Street is a new, purpose-built building of 11 apartments in Merrylands, with one, two and three-bedroom homes so people can live on their own or with a partner or family member. Its High Physical Support apartments are designed for people with significant physical impairment who need very high levels of support, and the dwelling is enrolled with the NDIA as Specialist Disability Accommodation.
Inside, the apartments have a height-adjustable kitchen bench, a side-opening oven, a ceiling hoist and an accessible bathroom with a roll-in shower. An onsite overnight assistance room is part of the building, and support is available 24 hours a day on site through the building’s SIL provider.
Residents share a communal kitchen and dining room and a rooftop terrace with a BBQ, set among the treetops.
